Some might say that a perfect night for Halloween and trick or treating is cold and wet like it was this year. It was perfect for us because we had an excuse to stay in and not venture out! We had a sweet hunt, Halloween feast, and some DVD’s to watch thanks to Warner Brothers. As well as the DVD’s, they also sent us some Halloween bubbles, sweets and a spooky cat mask.
First up was Tom and Jerry Tricks & Treats. Tom and Jerry is Little S’ most favourite cartoon so I knew he’d like it. There are 22 spooky cartoons altogether, including ‘More Powers to You’ which is S’s favourite cartoon on this DVD. Some cartoons are more less related to Halloween than others, but otherwise it’s a great DVD for Tom and Jerry fans like Little S, who I know will enjoy it the whole year round.
Then we had the film Big Top Scooby Doo. Scooby and the gang go away for a relaxing holiday, only to find themselves trying to solve a three-ring mystery. They visit a closed Big Top that has been attacked by Werewolves and decide to stay and solve the mystery, which of course they do – they would have got away with it too if it hadn’t been for those meddling kids!
I love Scooby Doo but my children aren’t as keen. The film is a PG and not like I remember Scooby Doo – it’s probably more suitable for older children. It’s a good film though and comes with a code so you can stream it to your PC or mobile device through Ultraviolet.
